Audit

We employ a state of the art proprietary auditing engine - the product of decades of freight logistics experience and programming expertise. By focusing on FedEx^® and UPS^®, we provide the most comprehensive and sophisticated Billing, GSR (guaranteed service refund), Rate compliance, and contract analysis audits in the industry. Typical recoveries range from 2%-6%.

How it works

UPS^® and FedEx^® services are guaranteed to be delivered on time. If a package is delivered late, the cost of shipping is refunded, but the customer must first file a refund claim with the carrier. To avoid this hassle, most shippers choose to overpay their UPS^® or FedEx^® bill rather than absorb the expense of processing the service failure refunds internally. Our simple solution avoids payment of failed deliveries. Working through EDI and the web, Direct Recovery Solutions verifies the delivery of every package you ship. When the service promise of the carrier isn't met, we make certain your full shipping expense is refunded. The weekly audit is conducted 100% offsite, there are no reports you need generate, and no papers to file or sort. Results are delivered each week by email or securely posted to our website with full detail on what is due the carrier. Our audit screens for bogus address corrections, no proof of shipment occurrences, duplicate charges, bogus residential surcharge fees and more. This basic audit can be expanded to include a one time or weekly rate compliance review to assure your carrier contracted discounts are being honored. Additionally we can perform carrier rate negotiations, cost coding, custom reporting and report formatting to integrate with your A/P system.

Reporting

Since we have extensive information available in a client's shipping records, we work closely with our customers to tailor the information into useful reports that meet their business management needs. Traffic analysis, fraud prevention, address correction prevention, accessorials analysis, account coding, etc are part of the service. Greater detail and samples available upon request.

Volume

Small package auditing has historically been reserved for higher volume shippers. Our scalable technology allows us to audit lower volume shippers as well. We target any company shipping at least $50k/year with UPS^® or FedEx^® with no maximum volume.

Cost

We operate on the industry contingency fee of 50% of savings, billed monthly for refunds secured during the prior month. High volume shippers may qualify for tiered discounts.
